In 2006, San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson had one of the greatest seasons in NFL history, rushing for 1,815 yards and 28 touchdowns, while adding 508 yards and three more TD’s through the air. His production even extended to the quarterback position, where Tomlinson completed two passes for, you guessed it, two touchdowns. An inductee of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017, Tomlinson is fifth all-time in career rushing yards and third in career touchdowns.
This powder blue jersey was issued to Tomlinson during his dominant 2006 season. His number “21” is sewn on the front, back, and shoulders in white and yellow tackle twill, while “TOMLINSON” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill over a matching blue nameplate. Yellow and blue tackle twill lightning bolts are sewn over white mesh sections on each sleeve. An NFL Equipment shield is sewn on the collar, while a “06-48” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. A Reebok tag with attached “6[inch] L.B.” and size “48” flags is sewn on the front left tail of this game issued jersey. “L.T.” signed the “2” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and a COA from JSA for the signature (E09615).
