Presented here is a copy of the book “Carrying the Fire” signed by its author, Michael Collins. Collins, a member of the Gemini 10 and Apollo 11 missions, spent just over 11 total days in space, including two EVAs. When Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, Collins remained in the Command Module, safely piloting it around Earth’s satellite as Aldrin and Armstrong made the first manned landing on the surface of moon. Collins has signed the cover page of this book in black pen. This item comes with a COA from JSA (I30459).
