Miami Marlins fearsome slugger Giancarlo Stanton wore this special Memorial Day Alternate jersey for three games in late May of the 2017 MLB season against the Los Angeles Angels and Philadelphia Phillies. The first game took place on May 27th, against the Angels, and Stanton finished hitless in the Marlins 5-2 loss. He rebounded the next day, clubbing his 13th home run of the season, and the 221st of his career (shown in highlight reel below), in the Marlins 9-2 victory. Stanton finished the game 3-5, with an RBI and two runs scored for the home team. His last game in this jersey came on May 29th, against the Phillies at home. Stanton finished 1-2 with an RBI single and two walks as the Fish dispatched the Phils 4-1.

     An All-Star in 2017, Stanton has wowed baseball with his mammoth home runs, accumulating 59 home runs in 2017 as he once again validated the Marlins decision to bestow upon him the meatiest contract in baseball history. Still only 27, the sky is the limit for the Marlins 6’6” superstar.

     This white, button down jersey is a special Memorial Day alternate home jersey. “MARLINS” is sewn across the chest in dark green, black, and white tackle twill. “STANTON” is sewn across the back shoulders in black tackle twill above a dark green and black tackle twill “27”. A vinyl MLB logo patch is affixed to the back outside collar of the jersey. A green “M” patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a Majestic logo, while a dark green swatch with five black stars is sewn on the right sleeve. A “16” patch, in memory of Jose Fernandez, is sewn on the left chest. A Majestic size “46” tag is applied to the front left tail of the jersey. Black piping accents the sleeves and collar and the sides and back tail of this jersey are made of a white mesh fabric. There are several dirt stains on the chest of this jersey. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 626834), which dates use to the May 27th, 28th, and 29th games.
