Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, a newly-minted member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, claimed seven Silver Slugger awards during his exceptional MLB career. Rodriguez won his first Silver Slugger in 1994, subsequently winning every American League Silver Slugger for the catcher position until 1999. Rodriguez won his final Silver Slugger in 2004, while playing for the Detroit Tigers. Rodriguez’s skill with a bat was unimpeachable, as the 1999 American League MVP finished his career with a .296 batting average, 311 home runs, and nearly 3,000 hits.

This 1995 Silver Slugger is constructed of two primary pieces, a silver baseball bat and a dark wooden stand. The bat is attached to the base of the stand, which measures roughly three feet tall. A plaque that reads “"Hillerich & Bradsby Co. - Silver Slugger Award - Presented to Ivan Rodriguez-C- Texas - Member of the Sporting News American League Offensive Team” is attached to the body of the trophy. The screw that attaches the handle of the silver bat to the base has become unscrewed. This item comes with a LOA from Juan Gonzalez.
