This game, a home contest against the Astros, finished 11-0, with Cabrera contributing a two home runs and a total of four RBI to the winning cause. With his first RBI of the game, Cabrera put himself one behind Mickey Mantle on the all-time list. The two-time MVP finished the 2016 season with a total of 1,553 RBI for his career, cracking the all-time top 50.
Cabrera signed the sweet spot of this Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball in blue pen, adding the inscription “Single 1508 Career RBI” in blue pen. This baseball, which shows light to moderate wear, comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 846557), which dates use to the July 31st game.
