Miguel Cabrera, a two-time American League MVP and the most recent Triple Crown winner in baseball, had a typically excellent season in 2016. The perennial All-Star, who made his 11th appearance in the Midsummer’s Classic in 2016, mashed 38 home runs and drove in 108 RBI while hitting for a .316 batting average. On April 13th, Cabrera collected his 2,338th career hit with a double, the 493rd of his career, off of Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Arquimedes Caminero in the top of the sixth inning. The Tigers won this game 7-3, thanks to a Jarrod Saltalamacchia grand slam three batters after Cabrera hit this baseball for a double. This ball, the very one hit by Cabrera, is an Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball with numerous scuff, dirt, and grass marks. It comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 929492), which authenticates its use to the April 16th, 2016 game.
