Miguel Cabrera wore this Detroit Tigers home jersey on May 10th, 2013, the second consecutive season that the Venezuelan slugger won the American League MVP Award. Cabrera finished the season with 44 home runs, 137 RBI, and a MLB best .348 batting average, essentially equaling his stats from his Triple Crown-winning season in 2012.

     Cabrera wore this jersey for three home runs, on April 28th, April 30th, and May 10th, when it was pulled from use to be authenticated by MLB. The May 10th performance was vintage Cabrera, with the big third baseman clubbing the 328th career home run during a 10-4 victory over Cory Kluber and the Cleveland Indians. Cabrera added a double and three RBI as the Tigers romped against their division rivals. The April 28th home run was the 324th of his career, with 325 following in the April 30th game.

     This button down jersey is white, with navy blue accents on the chest and collar. An Olde English “D” logo is sewn on the left chest in navy blue tackle twill. “CABRERA” and his number “24” are sewn on the back of the jersey in navy blue tackle twill. A navy blue Majestic logo is sewn on the left sleeve, and a MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. The underarm area of this jersey is made of a white mesh material. A Majestic tag is applied to the front left tail of the jersey, with a “24 48 ’13 235” swatch applied below. “JSG” is written in black marker on the Majestic tag, which was written by Tigers’ clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel. Cabrera signed the “2” digit in silver marker, adding the inscriptions “2013 AL MVP” and “Career Home Runs #324 #325 #328” on the “4”. This jersey, which exhibits light wear, comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 401082), which dates the use of this jersey to May 10th and photographic evidence shows the jersey was used in multiple games for a total of three home runs. There is also a LOA from JSA (Z42170) for the signature.
