Presented here is a 1986 Academy of American Sports Award Victor Award given to longtime Major League pitcher Don Larsen. This award was presented to Larsen in honor of his myriad achievements in baseball, including his unprecedented perfect game in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series. This award takes the shape of a golden athlete raising a laurel wreath into the air in his right hand. The athlete measures roughly 13 inches tall and stands on a 3 inch tall pedestal. A pedestal on the plaque reads “Don Larsen / In Recognition of Your Extraordinary Achievements in Major League Baseball / And / Your World Series Perfect Game” and “Victor Awards XX 1986”.
