Honus Wagner was one of the greatest baseball players of all time, and one of the Big 5 inducted in the initial Hall of Fame class. This card is interesting in that it shows Wagner depositing a brick of chewing tobacco in his mouth, debunking the myth of his “T206 Holy Grail” story about his aversion to tobacco products. The 1948 Leaf set is a great compilation of current superstars, rookies and retired ballplayers. This Wagner example has strong color and good focus, with light corner wear. Both front and back are clear of the notorious print issues well known in the set. PSA Graded VG+ 3.5.
