This great Lou Gehrig card features the Iron Horse with his formidable batting pose. Exuding strength, Gehrig was finally breaking free of the Ruth shadow, winning the 1934 Triple Crown and having one of the greatest offensive seasons of all time. This example has a clean front with evenly rounded corners, so uniform it appears the issue could have been issued this way. It also displays great, bold color and tremendous focus. The reverse has some light paper loss, staining and a corner crease which does not appear to engage the front. Better eye appeal card than typically seen on a card of this technical grade.
