Presented here is a Shea Stadium seatback signed by 20 members of the 1969 Mets. The ’69 Mets were the first team in franchise history to win a World Series, doing so in their first ever winning season. They defeated the Atlanta Braves in the first ever NLCS before dispatching the powerful Baltimore Orioles in a five game World Series.
This blue seatback has an “Authentic Shea Stadium” placard affixed to the center, and a silver plaque with the seat number “1” near the top. It is a limited edition 24 of 569, and has been signed by 20 members of the ’69 Mets in black marker. Signatures include the Hall of Famers Yogi Berra and Tom Seaver, as well as Al Weis, Ken Boswell, Ed Charles, Duffy Dyer, Wayne Garrett, Jim Gosger, Jerry Grote, Bud Harrelson, Al Jackson, Cleon Jones, Ed Kranepool, JC Martin, Jim McAndrew, Amos Otis, Joe Pignataro, Art Shamsky, Ron Swoboda, and Ron Taylor. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (SH 015921) and a Mounted Memories hologram.
