Since his Major League debut in 2010, Giancarlo Stanton has built a reputation as one of the most dangerous sluggers in baseball. A home run machine, Stanton is in first place on the Marlins career home run leaderboard, with over 100 more dingers than the second place player. 2017 has been Stanton’s best season to date, with the husky masher eclipsing the 50 home run mark for the first time in his career.

     Stanton wore this white, button down home jersey during the Marlins May 19th, 2015 game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Stanton blasted a home run off of Jeremy Hellickson in the sixth inning for the Marlins only two runs of the game, while wearing this jersey in the Marlins 4-2 loss. This was Stanton’s 12th home run of the season, and the 166th of his career. Stanton hit 15 more home runs in 2015, for a total of 27, before a broken wrist suffered in late June ended Stanton’s season prematurely for the second consecutive year.

     This jersey has “MIAMI” sewn across the chest in primarily black, orange, silver, and white tackle twill. A Marlins logo is sewn on the left sleeve above a black and white Majestic logo. “STANTON” is sewn across the back shoulders in black and metallic silver tackle twill beneath a MLB logo patch, while Stanton’s number “27” is sewn on the mid-back in black, orange, and metallic silver tackle twill. Orange piping accents the sleeves and collars, and has a Majestic size “50” tag applied to the front left tail of the jersey. A small Velcro patch is sewn between the second and third buttons, and a “27 50 ’14 451” swatch is sewn beneath the last button. The underarm areas are made of white mesh, and the jersey shows light to moderate wear. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 468050), which dates use to the May 19th game.
