Dallas Keuchel wore this brick red Houston Astros alternate jersey during his Major League debut on June 17th, 2012. Pitching in an intrastate matchup against the Texas Rangers in Arlington , Keuchel hurled five strong innings, striking out two Rangers before exiting one batter into the sixth inning. Astro relievers combined to allow seven runs in the sixth, with only one charged to Keuchel, in the eventual 9-3 Texas win. Keuchel’s strong debut augured good omens, as the hirsute pitcher won the 2015 American League Cy Young Award and appeared in two All-Star Games.
This button down jersey has “HOUSTON” sewn across the front in tan, red, and black chenille stitching. Keuchel’s number “60” is sewn on the chest in black, red, and tan tackle twill and on the back in tan, red, and black tackle twill. “KEUCHEL” is sewn across the back shoulders in tan, black, and red tackle twill on a matching red nameplate below a MLB logo patch. An Astros 50th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve, while a state of Texas patch and a Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. A Majestic size “48” tag is applied to the front left tail of the jersey. Keuchel signed the “6” on the back of the jersey in black marker, and inscribed “Game Used Rookie Debut 6.17.12” on the “0”. This item comes with a Tristar Authenticated hologram (7604183) for the signature and game use.
