Presented here is a Los Angeles Galaxy jersey that appears to have been worn by Manchester United and England legend David Beckham during the 2012 MLS season. This was Beckham’s final year in Major League Soccer, and statistically his best season since his 2001-02 season with Manchester United. Beckham scored seven league goals from the midfield position, his highest league tally since 2001-02. Beckham added nine assists during the 2012 MLS season, leading the Galaxy to a second consecutive MLS Cup Finals appearance against the Houston Dynamo. Beckham, playing in his final MLS game, led the Galaxy to a 3-1 victory at the Home Depot Center, the Galaxy’s home ground. The former England international was substituted in the 89th minute, giving arguably the most important man in MLS history a well-deserved send off.

This long-sleeved white home jersey has “HERBALIFE” applied to the text in black lettering, with the LA Galaxy shield on the left chest and the Adidas insignia on the right. Just above the Adidas insignia is the “MLS CUP CHAMPION” patch with the year “11” in a silver star. The left sleeve has the American flag patch while the right sleeve has the MLS patch. The reverse has his name “BECKHAM” across the back with his number “23” below. While the original LOA from a prior auction indicates this jersey was a 2010 Beckham jersey, this jersey is clearly from 2012 based upon the “11” on the MLS Champion patch.
