Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado, one of the brightest young talents in baseball, wore this jersey during the visiting Orioles 2-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on April 19th, 2017. Machado finished 1-3, driving home JJ Hardy on a fifth inning sacrifice fly for the Orioles second run of the ballgame. Ubaldo Jimenez, Donnie Hart, and Brad Brach combined to pitch a two-hitter for the dominant O’s. Machado had an excellent year in 2017, crushing 33 home runs with 95 RBI for an underachieving Orioles team that missed the playoffs.
This gray, button down road jersey has “Baltimore” and Machado’s number “13” sewn on the chest in orange and black tackle twill. “MACHADO” and a second “13” are sewn on the back in orange and black tackle twill, with a vinyl MLB logo applied to the back outside collar. A Camden Yards 25th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve, while a Maryland flag-themed Orioles patch and a black Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. A Majestic size “48” tag is applied to the front left tail. The sides and back tail of this jersey are made of a gray mesh fabric. The sleeves are accented with a black and orange band. Machado signed the “1” on the back of the jersey in black marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from SGC (AA03111) for the signature, and it has been photo matched to the April 19th game by Resolution Photomatching.
