Presented here are five New York Mets game used jerseys. The first belonged to Edwin Nunez, a relief pitcher who pitched in 10 games for the Mets in 1988, winning one game and losing none. This white, pinstriped, pullover home jersey has “Mets” sewn across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. “NUNEZ” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue and orange tackle twill, and his number “45” is sewn on the chest and back in similarly colored tackle twill. The sleeves and sides are accented by an orange and blue stripe. Rawlings size “48” and “88 1 45” tags are sewn on the front inside tail of this jersey. A “Set 1 1988” flag is attached to the Rawlings tag. A Rawlings wordmark is embroidered on the right sleeve, which has some stains. This jersey shows light to moderate wear.

Next is a gray, button down road jersey worn by John Franco during the 1991 season. “NEW YORK” is sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “FRANCO” and his number “45” are sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. The sleeves and sides are accented by an orange and blue stripe. Rawlings size “44” and “91 2 31” tags are sewn on the front inside tail of the jersey. A “Set 2 1991” flag is attached to the Rawlings tag. A Rawlings wordmark is embroidered on the right sleeve. This jersey shows moderate wear.

The next jersey was worn by Edgardo Alfonzo in the 1998 MLB season. It is a white, pinstriped, button down home jersey with “Mets” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Alfonzo’s number “13” is sewn on the front and back in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “ALFONSO” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. A Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. An AIS tag with a size “44” flag is sewn on the back inside tail of the jersey. This jersey shows moderate wear.

The fourth jersey is a white, button down Melvin Mora alternate home jersey. Mora wore this jersey in 2000, his rookie season, in which he played 79 games for the Mets before a mid-season trade shipped him off to Baltimore in exchange for Mike Bordick. This jersey has “Mets” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. Mora’s number “6” is sewn on the front and back in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. “MORA” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue, orange, and black tackle twill beneath a blue and orange MLB logo. A Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a Rawlings logo. Blue piping accents the sleeves and collar, and a Rawlings tag with attached size “46” and “Set 1 2000” flags is sewn on the front left inside tail. This jersey shows light wear.

The final jersey, a black, button down alternate, was worn by Matt Wise in 2008, his final season in the majors. “Mets” and “38” are sewn on the chest in blue, white, and orange tackle twill, with “WISE” and a second “38” sewn on the back in the same fashion. A MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar, a Mets skyline logo patch and a Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve, and a Shea Stadium final season patch is sewn on the right. Blue piping accents the chest, collar, and sleeves of this jersey. A Majestic size “48” tag has been applied to the front left inside tail of the jersey. This jersey shows light wear. All of the jerseys in this lot are accompanied by individual LOAs from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
