     Presented here is a collection of five New York Mets game used and issued jerseys. The first jersey in this collection belonged to Clint Hurdle, and was worn in 1987. Although Hurdle played only three games for the Mets in 1987, this jersey shows moderate wear. “New York” is sewn across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill, as is Hurdle’s number “7”. “7” and “Hurdle” are sewn on the back of this gray, pullover road jersey in blue and orange tackle twill. Rawlings and “87 17” tags are sewn on the inside of the jersey. A “Set 1 1987” flag is attached to the Rawlings tag. The second jersey was worn by Kevin Elster in 1988. This gray, pullover road jersey has “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “ELSTER” and his number “21” are sewn on the back of the jersey is blue, orange, and white tackle twill. A Rawlings size “42” tag is sewn on the inside of the jersey, with an attached “Set 1 1988” flag. This jersey, from Elster’s first full season in the Majors, shows light to moderate wear. The third jersey is a button down, white pinstriped home jersey worn by Mackey Sasser during the 1992 season. “Mets” is sewn across the front of this jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. Sasser’s number “2” is sewn on the front and back of the jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “SASSER” is sewn across the back of this jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. A memorial patch for William Shea is sewn on the left sleeve. This jersey displays moderate wear, including an impression on the back “2” from a chest protector. The fourth jersey, a gray, button down road jersey, was worn by Guillermo Mota on October 1st, 2006, during the Mets final game of the season. Mota earned the victory in a 6-2 Mets romp at RFK Stadium, pitching a 1-2-3 inning in relief of Oliver Perez. This jersey has “New York” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. A Velcro patch is affixed between the second and third buttons. Mota’s number “59” is sewn on the front and back of the jersey in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. “MOTA” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue, orange, and black tackle twill beneath a MLB logo patch. A Mets logo is sewn on the left sleeve above a Majestic logo. A Majestic tag is sewn on the inside of the jersey, with size “52” and “+3 Body” flags attached. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB 154355) and a LOA from Steiner Sports. The final jersey was issued to Ruddy Lugo during the 2008 season. Lugo spent the entirety of the 2008 season in the minor leagues. This white, button down jersey has “Mets” and “49” sewn on the chest in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. “LUGO” and “49” are sewn on the back in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. A Shea Stadium final season patch is sewn on the right arm and a Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left. A MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. All of the jerseys save for Mota come with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
