Despite hearing the derisive chants from opposing teams that chanted “nineteeeeeen-forty!”, the Rangers and their ecstatic fans chanting skated to their first Championship in more than half a century. This Stanley Cup trophy is the fruits of that unforgettable season in which they posted the best record in the NHL and then beat the Vancouver Canucks 4 games to 3. Every player, coach and senior front office personnel received a smaller version of the trophy such as this. This Lord Stanley’s cup measures 13 inches in height and is 6 inches in diameter on the cup and was presented to Rangers Equipment Manager Mike Folga. The names of the entire 1993-94 Rangers squad - Mark Messier, Sergei Zubov, Adam Graves, Brian Leetch and the rest of the champion Broadway Blueshirts are engraved into the cup’s surface and the piece sits on a black wood base, including Folga's. The felt bottom has a Boffey, Inc. Montreal sticker affixed. The trophy has some tarnishing, but no obvious dents or scratches to the surface. A proud reminder of one of the greatest seasons in Rangers history. This item comes with a LOA from Mike Folga.
