Five-time All-Star first baseman Adrian Gonzalez wore this jersey during Game 2 of the 2013 National League Championship Series, which saw his Los Angeles Dodgers take on the St. Louis Cardinals. The game was a classic pitcher’s duel, with Clayton Kershaw taking the hill against Michael Wacha of the Cardinals. The Cards triumphed 1-0 despite mustering only two hits in the game, their only run coming on a sacrifice fly after a passed ball in the fifth inning. Gonzalez reached base once in this game, drawing a walk in the top of the sixth to load the bases, but two swinging strikeouts from Yasiel Puig and Juan Uribe quashed the Dodger rally. After winning this game, the Cardinals would go on to claim the series in six.

This gray button down jersey has “Los Angeles” sewn across the chest in blue tackle twill. Gonzalez’s number “23” is sewn on the chest in red tackle twill and on the back in blue. “GONZALEZ” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill below a MLB logo patch. A 2013 Postseason patch is sewn on the right arm, and a “LA” logo is sewn on the left in blue tackle twill over a blue Majestic logo. A “23 Gonzalez 50 2013” swatch is sewn on the back inside collar of the jersey. The underarm areas of this jersey are made of a gray mesh. A Majestic size “50” tag has been applied to the front left tail of the jersey near a Majestic COOL BASE flag. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 645276), which dates the use of this jersey to the second game of the NLCS.
