Los Angeles Dodgers ascendant superstar shortstop Corey Seager wore this road jersey during the Dodgers 5-0 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on May 31st, 2016. Coming to bat in the top of the ninth inning with the score 2-0 Dodgers, Seager iced the game by crushing a three-run home run to deep right field off a Trevor Cahill offering. This was Seager’s ninth homer of the year, and the 13th of his young career. Seager finished the game 3-5, with three RBI and two runs scored from the second spot in the batting order.

     The 2016 National League Rookie of the Year, Seager finished his first full season in the Majors with 26 home runs, 78 RBI, and a .308 batting average. Seager’s performance was so impressive that the All-Star shortstop finished in third place in the National League MVP race, behind Kris Bryant and Daniel Murphy.

     This gray, button down road jersey has “Dodgers” sewn across the chest in blue tackle twill with a paraph. Seager’s number “5” is sewn on the chest in red tackle twill and on the back of the jersey in blue tackle twill. “Seager” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue tackle twill below a vinyl MLB logo. “LA” is sewn on the left sleeve in blue tackle twill above a blue Majestic logo. A Majestic size “48” tag is applied to the front left tail of the jersey. Two black “X”’s are drawn on the back inside collar of the jersey in black marker. The sides and back tail of this jersey are made of gray mesh. This jersey, which shows light use, comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 339696), which dates use to the May 31st game.
