Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez wore this blue batting helmet during Game 4 of the National League Division Series in 2014. In an elimination game, the Dodgers sent ace starter Clayton Kershaw to the mound, but an uncharacteristically shaky performance from the future Hall of Famer doomed the Dodgers to a 3-2 loss and a playoff exit. Gonzalez finished 1-4 in this game and his single in the sixth inning put Carl Crawford in position to score the Dodgers first run of the game. Gonzalez was one of the best players in baseball during the 2014 regular season, hitting 27 home runs and leading all of baseball in RBI, with 116.

This blue Rawlings batting helmet has the Dodgers logo applied to the front, with Gonzalez’s number “23”, a 2014 Postseason logo, and a “Dodgers” wordmark applied to the back. Six ventilation vents appear on the top of the helmet, and a ear flap is positioned over the right ear. All of the interior padding is present, and size “7 ¼” is written on the inside of the helmet in silver marker. This helmet shows outstanding use, evidenced by numerous scuff marks and pine tar spots. This helmet comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 515011), which deems it team issued, however this is a common designation for items authenticated after the season if not taken directly from the player.
