Since joining the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016 from the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, Kenta Maeda has been a key piece of their excellent pitching rotation. The two-time Eiji Sawamura Award winner has pitched two seasons in the Majors, reaching double digit victories in both. He wore this jersey in 2016, his first season in the Major Leagues. Maeda finished the 2016 season with 16 victories and a 3.48 ERA, averaging over a strikeout an inning to finish third in the National League Rookie of the Year race.

The pitcher affectionately known as MaeKen by his Japanese fans wore this jersey on August 23rd, 2016, during a game against the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium. Maeda threw the first five innings of this 9-5 victory, allowing only three runs and earning his 13th victory of the season.

This white, button down home jersey has “DODGERS” sewn across the chest in blue tackle twill, with Maeda’s number “18” sewn below in red tackle twill. “MAEDA” and “18” are sewn on the back of the jersey in blue tackle twill below a vinyl MLB logo patch. “LA” is sewn on the left sleeve in blue tackle twill above a blue Majestic logo. A Majestic size “44” tag has been applied to the front left tail of the jersey. The sides and rear tail of the jersey are made of a white mesh. This jersey, which shows light wear, comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 427954), which authenticates use to the August 23rd game. Please note that the hologram mistakenly refers to this win being the 18th, not the 13th, of Maeda’s 2016 season.
