Kansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon wore this batting practice jersey during the 2014 All-Star Weekend, which took place at Target Field in Minneapolis. Gordon, a one-time top prospect, made the second of his three consecutive All-Star teams in 2014. The brawny outfielder hit 19 home runs, with 74 RBI and a .266 batting average in 2014 while picking up his fourth consecutive Gold Glove award. Later in 2014, Gordon led the Royals to a rare World Series appearance that ended in a seven game loss to the San Francisco Giants. The Royals built on this successful season to reach, and win, the 2015 World Series in five games against the New York Mets.

This red and blue jersey is a button down batting practice number with a large American League patch sewn across the chest. “GORDON” is sewn across the back shoulders in tan tackle twill beneath a MLB logo. His number “4” is sewn on the back of the jersey in red and tan tackle twill. A 2014 All-Star Game logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve above a white Majestic logo, and a Royals patch is sewn on the right sleeve. A Majestic size “48” tag has been applied to the back inside collar, and a Majestic tag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 557622). 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this lot will go towards the hurricane relief efforts.
