Presented here is a Philadelphia Athletics ticket stub from the early 20^th century, likely dating to an April 20^th, 1907 contest against the Washington Senators. The Athletics won this early season tilt 6-5, on their way to an 88-57 record and a second place finish in the American League. The team was paced by the veteran pitching duo of Rube Waddell and Eddie Plank, while fellow vets Harry Davis and Socks Seybold led the offense. This ticket stub, which features the facsimile of manager Cornelius McGillicuddy, has been encapsulated and authenticated by SGC (201101-002).
