During the 1990 regular season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers posted a record of 12-6, qualifying for postseason play. In the playoffs, the Blue Bombers defeated the Toronto Argonauts, 20-17, to reach Grey Cup 78. There, Winnipeg simply destroyed the Edmonton Eskimos, by a final score of 50-11, to win the championship. Presented here is a 1990 Winnipeg Blue Bombers Grey Cup Championship ring, featuring a “W” - made up of dazzling diamonds – in the center, set atop a large blue stone. 20 diamonds surround the bezel setting while “1990 GREY CUP CHAMPIONS” appears around the perimeter in relief work. One shank of this Jostens 10K ring displays the teams and final score of the title game, along with images of the Grey Cup and CFL logo. “OUR 10th GREY CUP” is shown in a banner while NOV. 25, 1990 (the date of the championship game) is down below. A Winnipeg helmet appears on the opposite shank, as well as the name “ALLEN” and number 33. “60th ANNIVERSARY” can be seen in a banner, with “78th GREY CUP” at the bottom. JOSTENS and 10K marks are inside the band of this approximate size 10 ½ ring. Item weighs approximately 42.9 grams and comes with owner's original purchase LOA and a photocopy of players pawn ticket.
