Presented here are 16 brass buttons originating from the officially issued police uniform of Nick McDonald, the Dallas Police Department officer who arrested Lee Harvey Oswald. McDonald found Oswald in the Texas Theater, and after a brief struggle with Oswald, managed to apprehend the assassin. McDonald spent 25 years with the Dallas Police Department, retiring with the rank of sergeant. These buttons are accompanied by a signed Letter of Authenticity from Officer McDonald.
