Presented here is a collection of three photographs or lithographs signed by Ted Williams. One of the best pure hitters of all-time, Williams is the last player to hit over .400 in a season and the all-time leader in on-base percentage. The first signed photographs show Williams meeting Babe Ruth, with both men dressed in uniform. Williams has signed this photograph in black marker. Beneath the 9 ½ x 8 inch photograph is a plaque that reads “Ted Williams / ‘Splendid Splinter’ / Boston Red Sox” and “Babe Ruth / ‘Sultan of Swat’ / N.Y. Yankees”. Also included in this 18 ½ x 17 ½ inch plaque is a button featuring a black and white photograph of Williams and Ruth meeting. This photograph comes with a LOA from JSA (B68757). The next photograph measures 15 x 17 ½ inches and shows Williams, alone this time, dressed in his road grays with a tan bat perched on his left shoulder. Williams has signed this photograph, which comes in a 19 ½ x 21 ½ inch frame, in blue marker. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (B68768). The final item is a lithograph that shows numerous snapshots of Ted Williams’ life and military career. Williams has signed this lithograph, which comes in a 22 x 26 inch frame, in gray pencil. This item is a limited edition 267 of 406 and comes with a LOA from JSA (B68772).
