Former New York Mets pitcher Jim McAndrew spent six seasons with The Amazins where he compiled a 36-49 record with an ERA of 3.54. McAndrew was part of the 1969 World Series championship team and 1973 National League pennant winning team for the Mets.

This now cream-colored Rawlings size 42 button-down pinstripe jersey was worn by McAndrew during the 1973 season, his final year with New York. This jersey features “Mets” sewn across front in blue and orange tackle twill with McAndrew’s number “43” sewn on center left chest. The back of the jersey has “43” sewn in blue and orange tackle twill. A white 1 x 2 ½ inch team strip tag is sewn on the inside back color with blue embroidered “42 73 43” indicating the size, year and player. The left sleeve has the Mets Skyline logo patch sewn on and the red Rawlings size 42  tag is sewn on the bottom front right tail. McAndrew signed his name in blue marker below his number on the front of the jersey. This jersey displays light toning giving it a cream colored look and shows light to moderate game use. The right edge of the “4” on the back of the jersey is loose but the numbers are still intact. This jersey comes with a full LOA from JSA (Z64060) for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
