Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA. Hall of Famer. The end of the 1960s marked the finale of an era in card collecting, as well as the completion of Mickey Mantle's portfolio of sought-after collectibles. And none of those are more coveted than this elusive "Last Name in White" variety of the Mick's last career-contemporary, regular-issue Topps card. Offered is an attractive example of the scarce variation without which no 1969 Topps set, or serious Mantle collection, is truly complete. A specimen that is favorably positioned to crown a thoughtfully constructed assembly of '69's, this extremely clean memento is noteworthy for its decisive image resolution and its admirable surface gloss. Fleeting traces of wear do not diminish the remarkable integrity of the sharply pointed corners, and a very slight tilt to the piece's image alignment is barely noticeable. Excellent to Mint condition.
