Davey Johnson was one of the most successful managers in New York Mets history, winning the 1986 World Series and leading the Mets to 90 or more wins in each of his first six seasons with the team. Johnson, to this day the winningest manager in Mets history, helmed the team from 1984 to 1990. Team ownership let Johnson go 42 games into the 1990 season, although the Mets would finish that year with a 90-71 record.

Johnson wore this gray road pullover during the 1990 season. “NEW YORK” is sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. “JOHNSON” and his number “5” are sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, orange, and white tackle twill. The sleeves and sides of this jersey are accented with a blue, orange, and white band. A Rawlings size “44” tag is sewn on the front inside tail just above a “90 2 5” tag. Johnson signed the chest of this jersey in blue marker, inscribing “N.Y. Mets Mgr / 1984-1990” beneath his signature. This jersey, which shows light wear, comes with a COA from JSA (T58507) and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for game use.
