San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner wore this special MLB Player’s Weekend jersey during the Giants 2-1 road loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on August 26^th, 2017, despite Bumgarner’s excellent start. “Mad-Bum” pitched seven innings, allowing only two runs in seven innings while striking out seven D-Backs. Bumgarner played an abbreviated 2017 season, finishing with a 3.32 ERA in 17 starts.

This gray, pullover jersey has “GIANTS” sewn across the chest in bright orange, white, and black tackle twill. “MAD-BUM” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill beneath a special vinyl MLB logo patch. Bumgarner’s number “40” is sewn on the back of the jersey in bright orange tackle twill. A vinyl “Thank You” patch, where MLB players wrote the name of someone who helped inspire them, either in life or in baseball, is sewn on the right sleeve. Bumgarner wrote “Ali”, his wife’s name, on the patch in black marker. The sleeves of this jersey are bright orange, and the collar is orange and white. A Majestic tag is applied to the front left tail above a Majestic barcode. A Majestic size “50” tag is applied to the back inside collar.
