JULY 19TH AUCTION
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 7/20/2013
The 1947 Bond Bread cards have had much confusion over their legitimacy over the years. The legitimate factor was due to many “imposters” which looked like Bond Bread cards, but were never really packaged within the loaves of bread. Those imposters are usually the square cornered cards, and the REAL Bond Bread cards have beveled, rounded corners so the cards could fit inside the bread loaves. Set contains mostly baseball players with a couple boxing heroes. This is a completely graded set of the real cards, each relic ensconced in the protective holders of SGC. The majority of lower graded cards is due to small portions of tape on the reverse. Includes: SGC 84 NM 7 – 1 card, Thomson; SGC 82 EX/NM+ 6.5 – 1 card, Cerdan; SGC 30 GOOD 2 – 23 cards w/Barney, Blackwell, Boudreau, D. DiMaggio, Doerr, Edwards, Elliott, Ennis, Cid Gordon, Joe Gordon, Hodges, Holmes, Joost, Keltner, Kiner, LaMotta, Lindell, Mize, Pafko, Pesky, A. Robinson, Rizzuto and Sain; SGC 20 FAIR 1.5 – 21 cards w/Berra, Branca, Brecheen, J. DiMaggio, Feller, Furillo, Hatten, Jansen, Sheldon Jones, Keller, Kerr, Lockman, Marshall, Musial, Reese, J.
