Presented here is a collection of four cut signatures from members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The first cut has been signed by Dazzy Vance, an ace with a blazing fastball who earned all 197 of his career victories after the age of 31. Vance led the National League in strikeouts for seven straight seasons, the only pitcher to accomplish this feat. Vance has signed this cut as “A.C. ‘Dazzy’ Vance” in black pen. The second cut has been signed by Mickey Cochrane, the Hall of Fame catcher for the Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers. Cochrane, a two-time MVP, won two World Series titles with the Athletics as a player and one with the Tigers as a player-manager. Cochrane has signed a pink cut affixed to a larger index card in black pen. He signed his name as “Gordon S. Cochrane”.
The third cut has been signed by Home Run Baker, a member of the Philadelphia Athletics “$100,000 Infield” and one of the deadball era’s great power hitters. Baker has signed this cut in black pen as “J. Franklin Baker”. The final cut has been signed by Charles Comiskey, the maverick owner of the Chicago White Sox. A former player, Comiskey hit .264 over a 13-year career in the late 19th century. Comiskey has signed this cut in black pen. These items all come with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
