Presented here are two New York Mets home jerseys worn in 2008, the final season that the Mets played at Shea Stadium. The first jersey was worn by relief pitcher Duaner Sanchez on May 13^th, against the Washington Nationals. The Mets won this game 6-3, with Sanchez throwing a scoreless eighth inning to record a hold. This jersey is a white, button down home jersey, with “Mets” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. Sanchez’s number “50” is sewn on the front and back of the jersey in blue, orange, and black tackle twill, with “SANCHEZ” sewn on the back shoulders in a similar fashion. A circular Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve, while a Shea Stadium final season patch is sewn on the right sleeve. An MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Majestic size “50” tag is applied to the inside tail of the jersey. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 049575) and a LOA from the Mets.

                The second jersey was worn by Jerry Manuel on August 22^nd, 2008. Manuel was named the Mets manager in June, taking over for the outgoing Willie Randolph. This white, button down home jersey has “Los Mets” sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. His number “53” is sewn on the chest and the back in blue, orange, and black tackle twill. “MANUEL” is sewn across the back shoulders in blue, orange, and black tackle twill beneath a MLB logo patch. A circular Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve, while a Shea Stadium final season patch is sewn on the right sleeve. A Majestic size “46” tag is applied to the inside front tail of the jersey. The front of the jersey features extensive staining.
