This lot offers two game used bats with one being signed by two former New York Metropolitans George Foster and John Milner. Both of these bats have been dated to the 1980-83 seasons. The first bat, a Louisville Slugger P72 model bat, was used by George Foster. In the four seasons this bat dates to, Foster spent two of those seasons with the Cincinnati Reds and combined for 88 home runs, 343 RBI and a .261 batting average. This bat displays light use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. Foster’s number “15” is hand written on the knob and top barrel in white paint pen. Foster signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “#15”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14911) and has been graded a GU 7.5. There is also a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C99779) for his signature.

The second bat in this lot was used by John Milner at the end of his career. Milner began his career with the Mets in 1971 and was with the team until the end of 1977. During the 1980-83 seasons, Milner played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos. Milner’s bat is a Louisville Slugger K44 model bat and displays outstanding use. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. The handle has been taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14898) for the game use.
