In 2014, Mike Trout won his first American League MVP Award, hitting 36 home runs, leading the American League with 111 RBI, and batting a healthy .287. Trout made his third career All-Star team in 2014, as well as earning the third of his five Silver Slugger Awards. The first items offered in this lot are Trout’s Nike Lunar Vapor cleats, worn during the 2014 season. These cleats are black and gray, with red Nike swoosh logos applied to each side of the cleat. “Trout” and his number “27” are printed on the heel area of the cleats. The laces are red, and each tongue features a “Nike BSBL” tag. The soles of the cleats are white, and feature nine stainless steel spikes. Trout has signed the toe of each of the two shoes in black marker, writing “14 G/U” beneath each signature. These cleats come with a LOA from Anderson Authentics.

Also offered in this lot is a pair of batting gloves worn by Trout during the 2014 season. These Nike MVP Elite Pro batting gloves are white and red, with a silver Nike swoosh applied to the top of each glove. “MVP ELITE PRO” is applied to the wrist straps in silver. A “27” tag is sewn on the underside of each wrist strap. Trout has signed the top of each glove in black marker, adding the inscription “14 G/U” to each signature. These gloves come with a LOA from Anderson Authentics.
