Presented here is a home plate from Yankee Stadium, used from July 5th, 2013 through July 14th, 2013. The Yankees went won five games and lost five games during this stretch of games, finishing the season with an 85-77 record. This plate has been signed by Andy Pettitte and Mariano Rivera, a pair of storied veterans in their final season. Pettitte and Rivera were both a part of the Yankees legendary “Core Four”, along with Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada, that won five World Series championships. Both Rivera and Pettitte have signed the plate in black marker, with Rivera inscribing “Save #637 7/6/13” and Pettitte inscribing “Last win of ML Record 72 win-save combos / Win #251 7/6/13”. Pettitte’s inscription commemorates his and Rivera’s 72nd combined win-and-save, a MLB-record. This base comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 689446) authenticating its use on the field and a LOA from Steiner Sports (202566) for the game use. Please note that the Steiner LOA incorrectly states this as a bullpen home plate. There are two Steiner Sports holograms (SS277264 and SS098749) for the signatures.
