Future Hall of Fame first baseman Albert Pujols wore these batting gloves during the 2012 season. Pujols joined the Los Angeles Angels in late 2011, signing a monumental 10-year, $240 million contract after spending the first 11 years of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals. Pujols was an instant success in the American League, hitting 30 home runs with 105 RBI and a .285 batting average during the 2012 campaign. In 2017, Pujols crossed the 600 home run threshold, and heading into 2018 the Dominican slugger is 32 hits away from joining the 3,000 Hit Club.
These batting gloves are primarily white and red, with red Nike swoosh logos applied to the top of each hand. “Pujols” is printed on the wrist straps in red-outlined white letters. A tag on the bottom of the wrist straps boast Pujols’ number “5” and the red silhouette of a batter. Pujols has signed the palm of each glove in black marker, writing “+5” on the right glove and “12” on the left glove. The right glove comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (P81646) for the signature, while the left glove is accompanied by a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 192554) for the signature. These gloves, which show outstanding use, come with a LOA from JT Sports for game use.
