In 2010, Philadelphia Phillies ace Roy Halladay became the only pitcher in MLB history to pitch a perfect game and a no-hitter in the same season. On May 29th, the 2010 NL Cy Young Award winner retired all 27 Florida Marlins batters in the Phillies 1-0 win for the 20th perfect game in Major League history. During the 2010 playoffs, Halladay recorded a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds in Game 1 of the National League Division Series. This was Halladay’s first ever playoff appearance, and he marked the occasion by throwing only the second no-hitter in playoff history. Halladay pitched until 2013, accumulating 203 wins and emerging as a likely candidate for induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Tragically, Halladay passed away on November 7th, 2017, when his amphibious plane crashed into the Gulf of Mexico.

Contained in this framed display are two 8 x 10 inch photographs signed by Halladay from his 2010 no-hitters, and a signed ticket from each of the two games. The photograph from the regular season perfect game shows Halladay embracing his catcher, Carlos Ruiz, after finishing the game. He signed this photograph in blue marker, inscribing “PG 5-29-10” beneath his signature. He has signed the ticket in blue marker as well, adding the same inscription beneath his signature.

The playoff no-hitter photograph shows Halladay alone on the mound, ready to pitch to an unknown Reds player in the top of the ninth inning. Halladay has signed this photograph in silver marker, inscribing “NH 10-6-10” next to his signature. The offered ticket has been signed by Halladay in blue marker, and he has added the same no-hitter inscription beneath his signature. This item comes in a 26 x 23 inch framed display, and is accompanied by four COAs from JSA (WP480979, WP480981, WP480982, WP480987).
