2014 was the first complete season for Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts, a member of the Order of Orange-Nassau. He hit 12 home runs, with 46 and 28 doubles, proving to the Red Sox that he was their best infield prospect since Hanley Ramirez. He would break out during the 2015 season, hitting .320 with 81 RBI and collecting a Silver Slugger award, before his first All-Star campaign in 2016.
Bogaerts used this Louisville Slugger M110 model bat during the 2014 season. This bat displays heavy use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. There is a moderate coating of pine tar on the upper handle and the lower handle is covered in red LizardSkins to enhance the grip. The date of manufacture “01/15/14” and length/weight “34.0/31.0” have been stamped on the knob. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15244), who have photo matched this bat and have graded this a perfect GU 10.
