Considering he was a 6th round pick in the 2003 Amateur draft, Matt Kemp has carved out a nice career for himself in Major League Baseball. Kemp enjoyed nine seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, during which he batted .292 with 182 home runs and 170 stolen bases. Kemp’s 2013 season was limited to 73 games, but the slugger still managed to his seven home runs and drive in 33 with a .270 batting average.
Kemp used this Rawlings A809B model bat during the 2013 season. This bat displays heavy game use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers present on the barrel. There is a heavy coating of pine tar on the lower handle/upper barrel and a coating of Mota Stick on the handle. Kemp’s number “27” is affixed to the knob in a blue “LOS ANGELES DODGERS” Schutte sticker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15267) for the game use and has been photo matched to the April 14th, 2013 Dodgers/Diamondbacks game. Please note that the consignor did not want to purchase the grading on this bat. However, we can inform all potential bidders that this bat has been pre-certified as a GU 10 by PSA/DNA and if the winning bidder chooses to have this bat graded, it will be guaranteed to receive a GU 10 grade.
