Matt Holliday spent his last season with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2016. Even at the age of 36, Holliday still produced solid numbers – including 20 home runs and 62 RBI in 110 games. Holliday used this Old Hickory MH5 model bat during the 2016 season in St. Louis. This bat displays heavy game use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the lower barrel/upper handle and a coating of Mota Stick on the lower handle. Holliday’s number “7” is hand written in silver marker on the knob and there is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since 2009.. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15268) for the game use. Please note that the consignor did not want to purchase the grading on this bat. However, we can inform all potential bidders that this bat has been pre-certified as a GU 10 by PSA/DNA and if the winning bidder chooses to have this bat graded, it will be guaranteed to receive a GU 10 grade. There is also a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C99680) for his signature.
