Longtime New York Mets outfielder Darryl Strawberry wore this blue Mets helmet during the 1986 MLB season. Strawberry led the Mets to 108 regular season victories, and eventually the 1986 World Series title over the Boston Red Sox. The lithe right fielder launched 27 home runs in 1986, adding 93 RBI and 28 stolen bases to complete his well-rounded offensive game. An All-Star for the third consecutive season, Strawberry was a crucial part of the Mets title winning team.

This American Baseball Cap helmet has a flap over the right ear. An orange Mets logo decal is applied to the front of the helmet, while a “STRAW” label and an ABC logo decal are applied to the back. A “STRAW” label is also present on the front of the bill. Strawberry has signed the brim of the helmet, which has been repainted according to JT Sports, in silver marker. The eight-time All-Star inscribed “Game Used in the 1986 W.S. Champs” beneath his signature. This size 6 7/8 helmet comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (O01353) for the signature, and a LOA from JT Sports for game use.
