New York Yankees right fielder Nick Swisher wore this jersey during the Yankees 3-0 home loss to the Washington Nationals on June 18th, 2009. This was Swisher’s first season with the Yankees, and he helped the team win their 27th World Series title at the end of the season. Swisher finished the year with 29 home runs and 82 RBI, providing plenty of pop in the middle of a fearsome Yankees batting order. In this contest, Swisher was one of the few bright spots for a Yankee offense that was neutralized by a strong Washington pitching performance. Swisher went 2-4, with a fifth inning single and a seventh inning double to backup Joba Chamberlain’s quality start.

This white, button down, pinstriped home jersey has the Yankees interlocking “NY” logo sewn on the left chest in navy blue tackle twill. Swisher’s number “33” is sewn on the back of the jersey in navy blue tackle twill, and a MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar of the jersey. A Yankee Stadium Inaugural Season patch is sewn on the left sleeve of this jersey. A Majestic tag with attached size “48” and “2009” flags is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey shows excellent use, as the majority of the right chest is covered in Yankee Stadium infield dirt, as well as the back-right shoulder. This item comes with a LOA from Yankee-Steiner Collectibles, as well as a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 198999).
