After pitching poorly all of April, 32-year-old Doc Gooden was close to getting released by the New York Yankees after only a month with his new club. May 14, 1996 changed that as the former Cy Young Award winner shocked everybody by throwing his only career No-Hitter. Doc no-hit the Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium, striking out five. This beautifully framed piece features a large signed and inscribed photo of Gooden celebrating his gem. On the right of the photo is a full unused ticket from the game that has been graded MINT 9 and slabbed by PSA. A gorgeous piece of memorabilia from this historic day at “The Stadium”.
