Presented here is a metal Yankee Stadium/161st Street subway station sign autographed by Hall of Fame pitcher Phil Niekro. A veteran of 24 MLB seasons, Niekro pitched for the Yankees in 1984 and 1985 in his mid-40’s. Niekro won 16 games in each of his two seasons in the Bronx, making the American League All-Star team in his first year. The winner of 324 games, Niekro was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. He has signed this 11 x 17 inch sign in silver marker, inscribing “Next Stop Cooperstown” beneath the “B” “D” and “4” logos. This item comes with a COA from JSA (WP36248).
