Newly minted Hall of Famer Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez wore these batting gloves during the 2001 MLB season, his 11th season with the Texas Rangers. Pudge, in only 111 games, collected 25 home runs and 65 RBI, while maintaining a healthy .308 batting average. The sure handed backstop won the 10th of his 13 career Gold Gloves in 2001, and appeared in one of his 14 All-Star Games.

Offered in this lot are two pairs of gloves worn by the Hall of Fame catcher, with one pair signed. The signed pair are red, white, and blue, with a gold and blue Nike logo sewn on the index fingers and a gold and white Nike swoosh sewn on the wrist strap. A “Pudge 7” tag is present on the underside of each wrist strap. Rodriguez signed both of these gloves in silver marker. The second pair are nearly identical, however the white on the second pair is much more toned. The gloves come with a LOA from JT Sports for game use, and a LOA from Pudge Rodriguez for the signatures.
