Here's where it all started for the athlete universally regarded as one of the best third basemen of all time. This scarcer 1973 Topps "high number," with just a portion of its pictorial content devoted to the Phillies' superstar, is a fairly recent classic for which, nevertheless, many collectors are seeking an upgrade. The offered specimen is highly noteworthy for its photographic clarity, its bright white borders and its super-sharp corners. Very difficult to find with satisfactory centering, this one boasts gratifying balance in alignment. This is a marvelous example of a "must-have" collectible, in estimable Near Mint to Mint condition.
