Already the owner of a Hall of Fame worthy career, Barry Bonds went west to join the San Francisco Giants in 1993. Changing his uniform number to “24” in honor of his godfather Willie Mays, Bonds hit a combined .315 with 116 home runs his first 3 seasons with the Giants. The Stix 238 bat shows heavy game use and the handle has been cracked in half. The barrel is covered in ball marks, stitch impressions and bat rack paint tracks. The handle has been taped by Bonds for enhanced grip and heavily coating with pine tar. Bonds’ number “25”, which he started using after he joined San Francisco in 1993, has been written on the knob end. This is an exquisite bat showing the right amount of use you would want to see on a bat heavily used by the game’s reigning home run king. Letter of Opinion from MEARS who have graded this important bat A8.
