For Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta, 2015 was his breakout year, as the standout pitcher was the 2015 National League Cy Young Award winner with a 22-5 record and a miniscule 1.77 ERA. This Majestic button-down Cool Base road gray Chicago Cubs jersey was issued to the NL’s top pitcher for the 2015 season. This size 48 jersey features “CUBS” sewn on across the chest in royal blue on white tackle twill. Solid blue piping runs around the collar and down each side of the buttons and Arrieta’s number “49” is sewn on in red on white tackle twill on the center right front of the piping.
On the back of the jersey, “ARRIETA” is sewn on in blue and white directly to the jersey, while his number “49” is sewn on in red and white and the MLB logo patch is sewn on in blue, white and red on the upper neck. Each sleeve has a patch with the left sleeve hosting the “Cubs” logo with the red “C” and blue bear, while the right sleeve has a special white circular patch with “14” in blue and red to honor the passing of “Mr. Cub” Ernie Banks. The sleeves also have a blue and white piping. The Majestic tag and Cubs bar code (49 48C 2015) are heat pressed on the bottom front left tail. Although the jersey shows no game use, this would be an excellent collectible for any Cubs’ fan. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 102504), which designates this jersey as a “TEAM ISSUED JERSEY”.
